Announcing Walk-in Visits at Mountain View Direct Care!

Quality Care, No Membership Required

Not every health concern requires an ongoing relationship — sometimes you just need to be seen. Mountain View Direct Care now offers single-visit appointments for patients who need a one-time evaluation without enrolling in a membership plan.

How It Works

1. Call Ahead

Give us a call at (207) 200-5897 to speak with our office staff. We'll do a brief phone triage to make sure your concern is a good fit for an office visit and to get you scheduled.

2. Quick Registration

During your call, our staff will get you registered in our system as an as-needed patient. This is a simple one-time enrollment — there are no monthly fees or ongoing commitments. Registration allows us to maintain a proper medical record for your visit and to order any labs, imaging, or referrals if needed.

3. Come In

Visit our office at 568 Main St, Suite 3, Fryeburg, ME 04037. You'll receive the same unhurried, personal attention that our membership patients enjoy — with Dr. Murphy or Becca Paradis, FNP.

4. One Simple Price

Walk-in visits are $150, paid at the time of service. No insurance billing, no surprise fees, no copays. Just straightforward care at a fair price.

Note - as with other types of membership at Mountain View Direct Care we do charge additional fees for certain a la carte services such as point of care tests, IV fluids, lab draws, procedures, EKGs, etc. See the Membership Information Page for a full list of services.

What We Can Help With

- Acute illness — colds, flu, sore throat, sinus infections, UTIs. We offer an array of point of care testing services for diagnosis of simple illness like these.

- Minor injuries — sprains, strains, simple lacerations

- Skin concerns — rashes, insect bites, minor infections

- Ear and eye complaints

- Medication refills for straightforward needs

- Sports and camp physicals

- Other concerns as determined during phone triage

What Walk-In Visits Are Not Designed For

- Emergencies — chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or stroke symptoms (call 911)

- Complex chronic disease management (consider our membership plans for ongoing care)

- Procedures requiring specialized equipment or referrals

If you're unsure whether your concern is appropriate for a walk-in visit, that's exactly what the phone triage is for — just give us a call.

Why Call First?

We want to make sure we're the right fit for your concern before you make the trip. A quick phone call lets us:

- Confirm that your issue can be addressed in a single visit

- Direct you to the ER or urgent care if your situation requires it

- Minimize your wait by scheduling you into an available slot

- Get you registered so we can maintain a medical record and order any necessary tests

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to sign up for a monthly membership?

No. We'll register you as an as-needed patient when you call — there are no monthly charges and no obligation to return. This registration simply allows us to create your medical record and to order any labs, imaging, or referrals if needed during your visit. If you'd like ongoing care down the road, you can upgrade to a monthly membership at any time.

Do I need insurance?

No. Walk-in visits are self-pay at a flat rate of $150 per visit. We do not bill insurance for these visits. You will receive an itemized receipt that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

Can I just show up without calling?

We require a brief phone triage before all walk-in visits. This ensures we can help you, that a provider is available when you arrive, and gives us time to get you registered in our system. Call us at (207) 200-5897.

What if I decide I want ongoing care?

We'd love that. Ask about our Direct Primary Care membership plans, which offer unlimited visits, same-day or next-day access, and direct communication with your provider — all for a simple monthly fee.

Do you see children?

Please call and we'll discuss whether the visit is appropriate for your child's age and concern.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit and debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Ready to Be Seen?
